Lightning

In several way lightning may generate damage to your  equipment:

- Direct strike

- Hitting nearby

- Affecting other devices on the network, a pole, a pipeline or a cable that will bring the spike into your system

Power Crosses or contact with power lines

The accident with generate an emergency on your communication network, where AC power will be coming into your system generating the damage, due to wind, improper installation or modification of the network due to an accident

Power Faults:

Neutral and ground cables are connected in the plant. When a current is flowing back on the neutral or a short circuit generates an emergency on the ground conductors, then the communications cables brings the problem to the electronics, with the final failure of the weakest devices

Electrostatic Discharges:

In dry climates is easy to see how significant voltage spikes can enter the cable systems and circuits of a telecommunication network, creating a problem
